Marine Expeditionary Force is a Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) of the United States Marine Corps primarily composed of a Marine Division, a Marine Aircraft Wing, and Marine Logistics Group.
Mission: Deploy and employ expeditionary ready, air-ground task forces in response to Component Commander taskings to operate in Joint/Combined Operations, to conduct small scale contingencies and win in combat.

The division is employed as the ground combat element (GCE) of the MEF or may provide task-organized forces for assault operations and such operations as may be directed. The Marine Division must be able to provide the ground amphibious forcible entry capability to the naval expeditionary force (NEF) and to conduct subsequent land operations in any operational environment.
